Important Information
First Week Back:
We had a great first week back! Thank you to everyone for helping everything run so smoothly!
Drop off and Pick up:
A reminder about the 10km/hr speed limit. Many parents are driving faster than 10 km/hr.
Please remember to use the crosswalk or walk behind the cones by the basketball courts when coming and going to your vehicle.
Back to School Barbecue:
Thank you to everyone who braved the heat and came out for our back to school barbecue! It was a great community builder and a wonderful way to start off the year. Thank you to our Welcoming Committee for their help with setting up tonight, as well as to our Used Uniform team and our PFG.
Student Health:
Please click here to see Fraser Health “Back to School” newsletter
Athletics:
Athletic team sports at CCS are available to students in grades 5, 6, and 7. Cross country invites students in grades 2 through to grade 7. Participating students must sign up for athletics each term.
FALL Permission forms will be distributed to students who sign up on Sept 6th, 2024
Days for team practices?
Practice schedules are posted by Mr. Klaponski on the school website under the PE and ATHLETICS tab.
Team practice start dates
Volleyball - September 16th
Soccer - September 16th
Cross country - September 9th
Athletics Participation Fee
As mentioned in the Registration package, we are implementing a $10 athletic fee for each athlete per sport. This is to help the school cover the increasing cost of athletic fees with CISVA and other organizations that host events. The $10, for all FALL ATHLETICS events, will come out of your account via EFT on (October 15th, 2024) if you have signed a permission form.
If this fee is a hardship for your family then please contact the office to speak with Mr. Heah.
