Important Work Bee and Maintenance Update
This term February, March and April work bees had low attendance. A reminder
that all families are required to complete three mandatory maintenance hours
per term. Work bees are the best way to guarantee completion of these hours.
Maintenance jobs sometimes are posted on OnVolunteers and do count for
maintenance hours. If you have not yet completed your maintenance hours
through a work bee or from another maintenance job you have two work bees
left—May 3 rd and June 1 st ! After June 1 st we cannot guarantee that there will be
maintenance jobs available.
Due to predicted higher participation at the two upcoming work bees in May and
June we are asking that families planning on attending please sign up on
OnVolunteers. If you are already signed up and do not plan on attending please
cancel on OnVolunteers as soon as possible so your spot may be taken by
someone else. You may attend a work bee without signing up but are only
guaranteed a job if you have signed up on OnVolunteers.
A reminder that children are welcome to attend work bees and even help out
(elementary aged children’s hours do not count for parent participation hours)
but please insure you supervise your children and know where they are at all
times for safety reasons.
This month please bring your gardening gloves and tools!
