Wonk-a-thon Friday Important Reminders

Parent and Friends of CCS,

This coming Friday, October 18th is our annual walk-a-thon.  Our walk will take us around the school property along a designated route which is about 800m in length.  Each grade will be assigned a certain number of laps based on their age.  Classes will take turns stopping by the gym during the walk for games and activities.   Our day begins at the usual time and ends with a 12 noon dismissal.

Some reminders and tips for the day:

1)     It is a non-uniform day.  Students can wear whatever is comfortable for walking.

2)     Dress for the weather.  The walk-a-thon is on and is outdoors come rain or shine.  Umbrellas are welcomed.

3)     Pack a snack and a lunch for the day.

4)     Students will be given a snack of orange slices along the way.  If your child has an allergy to oranges please advise the classroom teacher.

5)     Parents are welcome to come and walk with the kids that day.

6)     Please continue to collect pledges for our walk-a-thon!  Our goal is $20000.

7)      When submitting pledge money, please put it in a clearly marked envelope.  Cheques are very much preferred.  Even better, keep the cash your child has collected and make your payment on the school website.

8)     All pledge money and pledge forms are due on Monday, October 21
